Beautiful colored bird with great details Joe. I wish for a right side placemenmt for the bird but also llike the inclusion of all this thorny bush. Great background and super job, nicely done.

Wow, Joe....nice work. I'd remove a catchlight and sharpen the head a bit more. Adventure? Do I want to know?

Nice exposure, and very appropriate perch (Bull thistle?) I wish for a better light angle as the sidelight isn't the greatest here. I also might tone down the left flank area a bit. The bird also looks a bit ratty, probably from the rigors of breeding activity.

Keep them coming.

Very pleasant image, Joe, I think the birds is kind of centered, but with such a great perch, I wouldn't have it any other way :)

This is quite lovely Joe. Like as is presented as moving it off centre means a loss of the thistle which does add a lot. Like Grace's suggestion for some head sharpening which will enhance this even more.

I like the pose, and Im glad you included most of the thistle perch. Moving to your left would have been first prize.

You two stay out of the mud. ;)

That thorny bush is a nice addition.

Nice colors and background. To me the composition doesn't work so well. IMO there is not enough room at top and too much below the bird. Tried to fix it with a different crop but didn't look that great either.

Your perch is just awesome here Joe. The pose on the bird is also very nice. I'm not sure if any other crops would work better but I would like to see one with a little more room above just to see what it looks like.
