Nikon D-300
80-200mm with Tamron 2x TC
1/500 sec at f6.3
ISO1000
cropped, adjusted saturation and contrast, selectively sharpened, noise reduction with define 2.0
I took close to 50 pictures of dragonflies but this was the only one that seemed close to being sharp enough to keep. I don't know if I was too close for this lense to focus critically. Shots with 1.4 Tc also seemed soft. Next time I will use my 180 macro
Does this present as being sharp enough?
All comments and suggestions welcome!

Hi Bob

Lens wise my favorite Dragonfly lens is the 500 f4.0 !! You did plenty good here not sure would have worked with the 2X Assume you were HH? Great seeing you push the ISO for a good shutter speed.

Love the image as presented, good perch, pose and sharpness Bg looks mighty fine You worked this bug and came up with one nice image !!! Big Congrats !!! .... what happened to that wing :)

Hi Bob, Where the camera focused looks plenty sharp to me. The composition, background, angle of capture, and tonalities all look fine to me. The wing looks melted, like it flew too close to the sun. ;) Nice work!!
