It can be hard to cope
With life's own reality
Hard to accept things
That are not meant to be

Hanging onto something
While you've just got to let go
Is futile from all aspects
Time to say no more

Would be nice to hang around
And live another day
My days as a berry are numbered
I am ready for decay

Never mind my damnation
My colors still ring true
In suspended animation
I'll fade away from view

Akos, I think it's well written. I like the treatment you gave the berries along w/ the reflection. The image goes well with the words.

Double ditto on Denise's and Dave's comments.

I'm feeling a sudden hunger pang for Very Berry Ice Cream...mmmmmmmm... the anticipation.

Unfortunately, my wife will probably make me eat dinner before having dessert. That is Very Berry unfair.

Lance, you love ice cream, don't you?

Very nice work, Akos. I really love the photo in this one - such a neat treatment you added to it. It really gives the image depth.

Thanks folks. That little berry just had to let go. It was time to drop into the pond and rot. :D
