Bob, this is a very lovely image. Love the wing spread and the meal adds lots to this image. You did great considering the angle of the sun. I might try lightning up the eye a bit. Congrats

Agree on lightening the eye and also another round of sharpening. BG seems a bit noisy for ISO 400, did you lift the EXP?

Fabs, If anything "minus" on Exp! I have noticed more noise at 400 iso that I was getting in the early days with the MKIII - or it looked so much better than the 30D. This was captured at high noon in full sun the only time that day to get on the Island. Bob<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

I like the incoming pose, wing position, dangling feet and the fish add to it. I only wish for a better light angle and would run NR on the BG.

Have the birds left the island for the open sea already?

Axel, Not 100% sure but I think they will stay till about the 20th - saw some still to young to go swimming yet. The outfitters will know for sure if you are thinking of a trip. Bob

Thanks, Bob! I was just wondering since I don't know exactly when they leave and only remember that the razorbills leave earlier than the puffins.
