Gerrie,
This is a beautiful specimen.
The image is exposed very well, sharp and the background is beautiful as well.
I like the composition but feel that just a little more room around the subject would make this image even stronger.

I also notice a sharpening halo around your subject. Sometime Smart Sharpen will help to reduce the Halo, otherwise in a background layer, magic wand the background and add somewhere between .3 and .6 Gaussian Blur. Then adjust opacity to taste.

Great picture. Sharp and lots of details in the blacks. And great background of course.

There is a small brown smudge right atop of the eye. Might be worthwhile to remove.

I like the pose and the head turn. I think that you did an excellent job of getting the details in the dark areas in some fairly bright light. Sometimes the Shadows/highlights command can also induce a halo. I try to keep it under 10 percent.

Great detail on the blacks at full sunlight. Nice pose and excellent bird. Is the BG a rock, lot's of interesting
rock colors in SA...

one of the best drongo shots I've seen Gerrie. James may have point on a tad more space and ditto the slight halo. overall superbly exposed and composed!

Super detail on the black feathers, but your PP on the perch lets you down, I think.
It cant be sharp on the feet and the perch he is standing on blured?
The stump also varies from detail to blur in a few areas? (Or am I seeing things?)

Amazing shot! I like the exposure and sharpness. The color of the background is lovely...

I would probably give it a little bit more space in the frame...

I like the sharpness, exposure control, BG and eye contact. I would give it a bit more room at the left and might have stopped down more in order to have the perch in focus entirely. Sharpening halo has been mentioned.
