Hi
This little cutie is more often heard than seen but just this once, he presented himself briefly for an image. Made at about one pm in a typical tropical rainforest environment with low streaky light but glad to finally see him in the flesh.

Image details:
Canon 40d 600mm f4 TC 1.4 manual exp ISO 800 f8 1/320s no flash tripod

Would appreciate your comments and suggestions. Thanks a lot!

Cheers,
Loong-Tat

Hi Loong-Tat,
Boy, this is a really nice image. I agree with Gus's comments and am impressed by your steadiness at that magnification and shutter speed. It's a gorgeous bird and an excellent image. Well done!

Good all around and amazed at the quality .. plus one difficult bird !!!

I like how you can work at 1/320 with all that magnification and make razor sharp images, it doesn't just happen. Also like the PS work very much and noise is at a minimum !!! Excellent image !!!

Really love the color of this one, the green mosses add to the color of the bird well. You also have good detail and sharp. For me, angle is a little steep.

Wow, what a beautiful bird. Great color and detail I find the perch a little overpowering, but what can you do when it is so difficult to get a picture. Thanks for sharing.
