This is beautiful! Great light, details and exposure control. If anything, I might give it a tad more room at the top but I like it as is.

Very nice profile, Robert. I would select the eye and go curves and bring out some more light to it. They sure are beautiful!

Good idea Fabs. I tried it and it looks better. I always forget to give the eyes more attention. Thanks.

Axel, Thanks. That's all the room I have - full frame.

Very nice control of the whites and the water dripping off the end of the beak with the sweet lighting all make this a winner.

Love it! The colors are amazing. Was this taken during the IPT or on another visit?

Dan,

During a private workshop I ran. Clear day with the sun out so you get the blue water. The day we where there, sun in, so the gray and silver water.

As mentioned the white areas have very nice shadows or shades too them. The waters coloration is a nice contrast too. But what grabed me right away was the yellow bill and gullet details. It leads right to the eye, which is key for such a close portrait, to me anyway. Some areas are a tad worm from the frontal area, but it is dynamite overall. Variety is the spice we create with. This one is nice.

This just glows, Robert.

The whites, yellows, pinks, and the reflection really make this pop.

I agree with all the praise. The colours are beautiful and eye doesn't worry me.
