On the image Harold made this is what I was trying to do with the extension tubes, got close to minimum focus, difficult with flies since they don't usually stay still

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Amazing Mr. Forns! How do you find the flies and get them to pose for you? Very technical photography and well done. Like it a lot!!

people normally buy these frozen to get shots like this, but you go after the live ones. and get the shot!!! very nice. the difficulty level for this is about as high as it gets.

I hope there is no special cologne one has to wear for the fly to stay still? If there is, which one? :D

Think you did OK Al:D;). If one of my good shots were like this I would be happy.

Al,
You gotta try one of my custom bellows!
I use enlarging lenses on them. I can get about 5 times life with a 50mm.
Just add a Canon mount and your all set.

Let's do that next time you come up(or I go south).

Alfred, If you put the tubes between the lens and TC you can focus even closer!

Awesome shot man!
