Photographed at a local marsh where a number of these handsome birds were hawking insects from nearby perches in the late afternoon sun.

The fine, smooth feathers on the chest and belly makes the image appear to lack detail in those areas.

Really nice bird. The head angle seems great to me. Love the BG.
I find the image a little over sharpened and the perch too big and bright for this bird, may be a little more saturation?

what if we make this horizontal frame having more space on right and some on top ? just a thought...
rest what presented is awesome. tried toning down myself but i think better to keep it what it is right now..

Killer pose and bg. See a sharpening halo under the beak which is easy to fix. Cracking shot.

Here's a repost. I cloned in some canvas on top and added a little to the right, added some saturation, removed halo under bill and darkened the perch. Thanks for C&C.

Jim you are going to kill me...
The repost is certainly an improve but...I was not clear in the first place. Love the BG, the saturation is needed just on the bird. The rest of the work you have made seems great to me, keep them coming. jc
