Very provocative composition. I'd be tempted to darken the background some more to get rid of distractions.

Big welcome to BPN, hope to be bale to help you improve :)

Agree with Fabs on the BG. The flake is so cool. Composition is good but I would place the flake at a ROT power point.

Thanks Robert - I've darkened the bg and removed the other "light" spots and I do like it better. As for placement I thought I had already done that - maybe a touch down and in:-) thanks - I'll recrop to try that.

Very nice work. I think the darker version is going to look great. I think the snow flake positioned on an interesecting third would look nice as well. But, the placement presented here is a bit out of the box, and I like it. I think the large amounts of negative space works. Let us know how everything turns out ;)

Hey Intiot, I like the comp and agree about blacking out the BG. I think the placement of the snowflake works well. Keep em coming.

Thanks Mike - not sure on the protocol here about reposting an image after suggested editing so I'll wait to see and post a new one tonight!

Hmmmm i like the darkening, but there's too much negative in this one. I liked the original crop better.
Darker looks much better, though :)

yep, I'm leaning that way myself - thanks !
it's just too small to carry the extra space.....should have changed it before I reposted:-)
