That looks like one friendly bird! Great low angle, and this ensured rendering the BG grasses as a nice BG blur. I would tone down the bright reflection on the bill, and crop some off the bottom.

Oshkosh, The right half of the image so overpowers the left half that I created this emphasizing the strength of the image. Also bill sheen repair and eliminated a few shiny feathers on the back.

Thank you guys. Artie, I like your crop. I do find it painful to compose with parrots or crop and present as they have such long and thin, insignificant, tails.

I love this Lorikeet and wish we had them here in India too :) .. The colors are so brilliant and love this low angle .. I loved how Arthur has cropped it to bring a balance in composition .. I feel a hint of sheen is good to my eyes so I would have preferred partial reduction of sheen instead of removing it by this way the 3D feel of the beak is retained

Ken, that is a cracker! I never knew they sleep like that! Cool. they are certainly colorful little characters for their personalities as well. Little clowns. But so are our Sulphur-crested Cockatoos too.

That's one cracker of an image and bird Akos. I have never seen anything so colourful. Cropping the OOF foreground did improve the composition. wow! can't take my eyes of this image.
