I would tone down the perch a little. The pose is not ideal I guess, but what it lacks in some aspects it sure makes up with those superb colors mate. I have never seen anything like it. the tongue poking out is way cool! And the BG is fabulous especially if there was any work done. :)

Akos say sit well Kobus. The perch is quite strong, but the bg, and bird are fabulous. Tongue a nice touch. :)

I agree about toning down the perch. The bird is beautiful....love sun birds. Tongue is a bonus. Well exposed and nice BG, sharpness. Congratulations

Kobus, super image of a MS here, you have captured the colours extremely well and that BG is superb, excellent use of flash here. I just saved the image under a ColorMatch profile as it seems to keep it more to what your original looks like in PS. I have done nothing to the image just a different profile...

Beautiful bird, good sharpness and BG. I wish for a bit more eye contact and would remove the magenta cast, the new 50D firmware is supposed to fix this problem, BTW.

Agree with everything said Kobus, this is truly a beautiful bird. Those colors are amazing.

I think you have exposed the sunbird very well, sharp, and the hint of the tongue takes this over the top.

This is a very good job as the lustre on these birds is very difficult to capture, I know I have tried and failed every time.I am amazed at the difference the different colour profile makes, the colours are stronger but perhaps just a tad too strong.

Hats off to Kobus for the neat bird and capture and to Ryan for the killer repost. My only wish is that the male had been as low down as the female....

Both are lovely birds. The perch is not my favorite since it looks sort of fake but I know this is not the case. The repost is right on. The increase of saturation really helps.
