Overcast day, I was using a light meter to set manual exposures and switching to AV on occasion. Started to rain and I saw him on the wall.

this works for me. i might even go just a tad darker, leaving just a hint of detail in the bird and wall. unique and i like it!

Thanks for the positive feedback, I though about a B&W image but left a tad of the real image. I was torn and agree a dark comp would work as well.

I agree with Nick, a dark silhouette would do it. I'd try a horizontal comp with bird on the left as well. The wall is overpowering in this vertical comp, but maybe that's what you were striving for.

Really original and creative Jeff, like it as presented.

I like it a lot, Jeff, but I must confess the wall is a bit much for me. I think you could maintain a more pleasing overall effect by chopping your image a third from the bottom.

Very graphic composition, well created, just may go a bit darker and even play with a color filter for the sky, although it looks pretty cool in B&W. Congrats!

Thanks Al, this image is just ok with me, I do like the B&W texture. You will see more of that from me.

I like including hand of man elements in my images with birds. I know, I am getting weird with the camera. Seem to find the life of birds interfacing with cities and infrastructure interesting, maybe I need a vacation.

Jeff...I don't think you're being weird. Birds interfacing with cities and infrastructure sounds like a possible B&W project. Love the image!

Bob,

Thanks, for some reason I find this interesting. If you saw my picture of a Killdeer in a Target parking lot this has motivated me to post more photos of what I call "life in the lot". Pictures in various parking lots around Middle TN, be watching for it and thanks for the support.

Hi Jeff, This image is really cool and lends itself to various expressions and crops; it's very graphic. Like so many others before me, I would just go black with no detail, and would probably play with a colored sky like Fabs suggested, just for grins.
I'm looking forware to your "Life in the lot" series!

Thanks Ron, I am giving serious thought to B&W, I start the
life in the lot series this weekend. It is a 30 day project on birds in parking lots and man made structures in Nashville, let's see if I can pull it off. I might need your help on lighting and other matters, keep in touch.
