Out west a number of years ago and shot these famous ruins. This is a different comp than Ansel Adams used in his famous image of these ruins. Used Nik Silver FX in the conversion and did some dodging and burning.
No specs since it was made with a slide.

Dave, This is an interesting image. I may have dodged the ULC a bit more. The conversion looks good and I bet the original is great!!

Hey Dave, I thought Ansel himself joined BPN after looking at this one...I love this B&W conversion. The textures, shades and magnitude of this image are absolutely perfect for B&W in my opinion. On my monitor the upper left looks a little dark. Great job!

Great image Dave. works well in B&W. I like the drawings on the rock.

lots to look at here. i'm glad you included the bush in the foreground. gives you a sense of scale. i like the conversion. the sepia treatment worked out well!!

I see what Denise means about the ULC but it does balance nicely with the lighter opposite corner. I think you did an excellent job on the burning and dodging - you really brought out all the details to every nook and cranny.
