From Viera Wetlands got a whistling duck Yesterday Lots of ducks flying around but few get close. This one almost got me by surprise and was lucky to make it. Cropped a tine amount from rear of frame only.

Comments welcome and much appreciated

Looks like an express duck. :) I like the pose, sharpness and eye contact and only wish the bird had not passed you yet.

I think it's a cool shot Alfred and I like it.

I do agree with Axel relative to the birds position when you created this frame, however, there is just enough of a look back head turn to make this one work for me.

The one thing I might have done differently was to possibly lighten the area of the shoulder which appears to be shadowed.

Pretty neat looking photo Alfred. Really nice job on blacks and whites. Just a nano second from being perfect. Really well done. Dave

Alfred, I love the swept forward wings on this one. I pulled this into PS and brightened the mids in curves a little. Makes it pop a bit more on my not so calibrated monitor.

Good Shooting!

I echo Jim Fenton's comment. The eye contact rectifies the passed pose. Congrats Al! :)

Al, love the wing position and trailing feet. Colors on this duck are awesome. I don't mind the position of the duck because you still get the whole side of the bird if that makes any sense.

Alfred, I like this image a lot, I don´t think the bird had already pass you. Great wing position and detail.

I like the expression on the duck's face, he looks so blissful :-). He is one happy duck.

Love the colours of this bird. This looks very well exposed. I like the detail captured and the comp.
I see a halo around the bird that could be from sharpening or size reduction, I believe can it be resolved in PP?

I like the colors on the wings.
The head and feet look OOF. The color of the bills always look deeper and sharper in color than appears here. May have something to do with the focus also.
