A species I didn't really focus on while being in Ireland, but this is a shot I was pretty happy with.

Nothing really special but I thought I would share it with you anyway.

Some of the blacks on the neck are close to being without detail but as a Tiff they still look ok.

I did some patching on the bill and rock otherwise pretty much full frame out of the camera.

C & C are most welcome,

I like the setting, BG, sharpness and eye contact. The vibrant colors make this one for me. I might be tempted to lighten the shadows on the head and neck a tad.

I'd be happy with this too! I like how the cormorant's left foot is bridging the gap across the perch's crevic, and I love the plumage deatil along the back. I'm with Axel for the shadows on the head and neck, even if the TIFF looks good. I would probably also crop from below to just above the lightest patch near the bottom.

Excellent exposure and detail on the blacks, as these guys are tricky to get right. Sharp, and I like the turned back pose. The comp works well too. Well captured.

Nice pose Krijn. Agree, the blacks are borderline, but still fine. Just. I love the green sheen on the plumage!

Well done with a nice COMP and good SH and d-o-f. For over-the-shoulder stuff, I prefer the head parallel to the imaging sensor. Some Eye Doctor work would improve this.

Like your composition. Wonderful colours especially the green sheen. Interesting head turn.
