Lovely low angle, detail and warm light, David. Only distraction for me is the repeated blurred reflection of the bill which pulls my eye down in the image - cropping or cloning could be options for this.

Angle, light and mood are very good. I would increase contrast and crop a bit off right and bottom as I agree with Tony on the blurred reflection.

Would like a little more head turn. Beautiful light and detail as well as wonderful comp.

I agree with Axel about upping the contrast...this would also make the golden colour appear "deeper". You could crop some at bottom, and then clone out the remaining bill reflection. Good low angle. I'm wondering what the tiny "floating" spot is above the back?

P.S. image looks like it may need slight CW rotation.

Hi David, Daniel always takes my suggestions when he critiques before I get a chance. I'd like either the entire head included in reflection or to crop quite a bit from bottom and maybe clone out the remainder of the bill reflection. Lovely lighting and indeed this one has a calming effect.

Good Shooting!

Suggested edits applied. As always, thanks for the learnings! Reprocessed from raw with hopefully a little more contrast and saturation as well as crop suggestion.

An original vertical might have been just what the doctor ordered. When you have nice reflections with a little bit of a breeze it is a good plan to create lots of images when you get a nice pose. That way you have a choice of bill/head reflections.

Yes Artie, I have heard you say that many times before. Just so you know your students listen!:D

I like the soft light, and colours, and the low angle works well. Your repost is much better, although you may have pushed the saturation a bit too much.

Very nice image. The 'wait' mood is captured well. Also an informative thread on composition.
