very nice image Rick, I might try burning the bright spots in the BKGR a bit, see you in the field

Did you do some cloning on the foreground in this? I can see some repetitive patterns, that's all. Also, good suggestion about working on those BG bright spots. A bit distracting. Exposure is great, as is HA! And light. :)

I like the DOF in this, and good detail captured plover too. I agree with Akos, there seems to be repetitive patterns in the FG, and I feel this needs a CCW rotation, as the shadow is slanting slightly upwards.

Not sure what you cloned in the fg but a bit of evidence as mentioned, good DOF, exposure and detail captured. I would have liked a slightly lower angle here...

Good head angle, light and exposure. I don't find the background spots to be a problem. I would leave as is.

lovely angle, DOF and exposure. ditto BG spots and FG cloning evidence. I agree with Stu regarding CCW rotation.
