Shot on Chokoloskee Bay, Everglades. I visited this pelican rookery a few times to watch these young ones grow. On this day, many of them were testing their wings and the one here with wingspread took off shortly afterwards and circled around a bit.

1/1600, ISO200, f5.6, spot metered off the water. In PP, I did two major things, increased exposure +.67 and cloned out two cormorants that would not take a bribe to move for the shot. No cropping used. If I had to do it again I would have compensated +EV and probably use evaluative metering, and opened up to f8 or more to get the right bird more in focus (with ISO 400). What do you all think?

I like the one with its wings up and the juxtaposition of the two birds. And the framing. A small crop from the bottom might tighten things up.

I like this with the wing over the back of the second bird.
