Like the pose, HA and the detail in the eye. For me the background is distracting. I see a little halo around the beak. Is this artifact from sharpening?:)

Hi Richard

With these types bg all you can do is keep mayor branches from piercing parts of birds, here there are a couple going through the head ... moving left just a bit would have placed them behind the bird !! Should help !! Would also recommend setting the lens wide open to minimize bg !!! .... good call on the beak Ray !!!

The bird is well placed in the frame. The BKGR is way too fussy. Image quality, especially in the area of the head, is suspect. Is this a big crop?
