Even though it is flying away from you, this still works well (for me, at least) with the over the shoulder look (he looks devious). Love the spread tail and wings and extended alulas, prey item is always a plus, good detail in the feathers. is it partially backlit? nice image

That's a mean looking bird, I like the back light and yet you have all the detail on the plumage.
It feels good even though, as mentioned, it is not a typical HA. The prey and blood makes the image.

I love the shot.. Might consider adding a catch light to his eye. Great action shot
with the prey in tow.

Great angle and detail. Love the comp. as well. I too think a very small catchlight would make the eye come alive.

Nice detail and pose, and I love the fanned tail. I'd suggest burning some of the BG.

Left turn Clyde! Wonderful banking position and bonus for having the headless prey! Congrats!

Was the prey a pigeon or a gull? Very nice image.

The pigeon in the feet and the tail spread are wonderful. It would have been better if the falcon was banking a bit more, for a better HA, but one can't ask for everything. Have said that, I love it as is. Do you set the IS to mode 1 or 2?
