Just learning to shoot so please do guide me on how to improve. Wish I had managed to get the pair in focus but didn't know how.
I've reduced the levels in PS and a slight crop off the bottom.
Btw i'm not very sure if this image is allowed in this section. Moderators please advise me on the same.
:D

I like that you have two birds in the frame and the inclusion of the landscape. Aside from the softness, I would prefer if the birds walked towards you. Does it need a bit CW rotation?

This image is OK here, Rohan...these are birds!

Wish I had managed to get the pair in focus but didn't know how.

I too wish you had the pair in focus. Set your auto focus to "One shot", focus on one of the birds (preferrably the one at left as it seems closer) and keep the shutter button half-depressed, then recompose and fully press on the button to take the image. You can also switch the focus points to minimize the need to recompose.

I like what you tried to achieve here, but by learning the basics of your equipment you will be better able to reach the results you envision. Read your manual, and keep on practising!

P.S. Artie's books are highly recommended - check out the link below, especially worthwhile for you are The Art of Bird Photography, and The Art of Bird Photography II.
