Met this little fellow at the beach today but he was a little shy. Once he figured out that the big wet lump in front of him was alive he flew off.;):D
Very foggy afternoon and was hoping for it to clear up some so I could get some nice light but no luck. Not sure if the BG is to busy but I like the way it clues to the environ. Cloned out a stone that was directly behind his food and cropped out about 25% of original.
Thanks for looking. All C/C appreciated.

I think this is a cool shot, low angle, but the entire image is dull/flat the whites need to be
bumped up some in levels or curves and a little more USM would help on the bird. Plus add
a catchlight to further enhance the images pop.

That is one great image, I like it a lot. The HA and pose of the bird are great, IMO the BG is not too
busy, in fact the scattered stones on the perfectly flat sand are very interesting comp itself.
Maybe only I'd brighten the OOF rock just in front of the bird, but not too much distracting as it is.
Did you do anything with the eye or is it natural?
Congratulation!

Super low angle, and I like the surrounding pebbles. I agree to run another round of USM, and I feel this needs a slight CCW rotation.

Low Angle, Light, and pose as well as comp make this one work for me. BG is not ideal but it is still nice to me. Although it could go a tad brighter IMO.
Congratulatons!

Brightened overall plus a little more of BG. Rotated a little and attempted to add a catch light. I also sharpened a tad more. Let me know if it looks better.

Nice low angle. I like stone/pebbles the add to the image. Your re-post seems to be better. IMO the catch light seems a little overdone.

The repost looks much better and I agree on making the catchlight a bit less prominent.
