Very painterly and a different kind of COMP, Stuart, I like it. The reflection really adds to it. It is quite busy but a beautiful tricolored hard at work in a busy environment. It seems fairly dark overall, but maybe you were limited by the white breast feathers. As for Waldo? ... I don't have a clue. ;o)

I like this, Stuart. The reflections, ripples, vegetation on the water and bird all combine to make a very pleasing environmental image with some definite impressionistic qualities. I might be tempted to darken the top of the image slightly to reduce the brightness of the yellow/brown leaves.

Stuart, Very busy but in a good way. Lovely colors and I like the floating vegetation. I was going to suggest a slight crop off the right side to balance the heron with the bigger clump of veggies but the realized it would have dissected the ripple around the bird. Congrats.

Fantastic image Stuart. Like your composition. Love the way the reflections and the small weeds add to image. Very nice visualization.
