Nice color coordination between the heron's head/neck and the termite mound.
Sharp and well exposed. If you could have taken a frame so that you were just a bit more to your right, and the bird would favor you with his head a bit more your way, it would have been even better (no background merge)
I might try cropping down about 1/3 of the free space at the top.

I generally would agree about a crop up from the bottom, but the termite mound really establishes this birds environment, and I guess I would be inclined to leave most of it! Just personal preference for me.

I like the light and colours in this, and this is a first for me, where a goliath is not standing in water.

Love the light and termite mound, Ken. It's hard to appreciate just how large the Goliath is unless you see it with other herons.

Thanks for the comments, I only wish they had done some of their display more in the open, but hey it was a wonder to see.
