Image from the Salton Sea, taken out of the box and manipulated with Topaz Simplify and Nik Color Efex Pro. Did a few tweaks in CS4 for color, saturation, and levels. :)

Very creative Kerry! Looks like a carving from plywood showing the different layers in color! OOTB:p:p

Hi Dan, thanks! Maybe the "Pastel Plywood" filter will catch on... :D

Mate, absolutely rocks! Can't wait to graduate from leaning CS4 to playing with CS4.

Now that is blue! Like how the felection differs from the orig bird. Looks like a finger in a socket. Something that has been electrified. Tesla would be proud:)

Kerry, This looks really nice - he reminds me of an abalone shell. And the colors are gorgeous. I might like it a
little better if he had a little darker eye in the reflection but it's great just the way it is:D

Hi Cheryl, good observation about the eye in the reflection! There actually isn't a good one to be had there! There are two kind of dark spots but they are in the wrong place and everything I did to try to make a good eye down there just looked funky, so I let it go! I even tried copying the real eye and putting it there but it didn't look good to me... Thanks for your comments! :D
