The softness struck me immediately. I can see you were struggling with SS here. If you expose to the right in RAW, you could probably have tripled the ISO to 1600 and minimize noise then your SS would have also been more conducive to achieve critical sharpness. Did you use a tripod? With a more refined shooting technique this image would have great potential! thanks for sharing, :)

Akos said it for me, I agree with what he said and suggested, although I don't know if I would've gone as high as 1600.

It is a bit soft. I also agree with Ramon that ISO 1600 might be pushing it a bit. With f 6.7 could you have opened up to f 5.6 or is that the widest limit on the combination you were using? IS/VR can only do so much. A tripod would be a great addition.

The eye is what attracted me in the thumbnail and I am not disappointed.
