That's awesome Jim. The BG is almost on fire with those warm colors. Perfect pose. If you had a tad more room on the right, I'd keep it to give just a bit more space. Thanks for sharing mate. :)

Very good Jim. It is an amazingly sharp hand held picture. I love the background and the overall composition.

Lighting is perfect, and great flight positions too. I'd like a more pano with some of the bottom taken out.

Amazing pic. Sharpness, pose and color.

I hope you don't mind me asking but how did you get both so sharp at F4.5 with them being at least a foot apart in depth? Were they really far away and this is a heavy crop?

Thanks, JR

Some interesting issues here. Hand held and pin sharp at SS 1/800 with the 500 and both birds in focus at f4.5.
All I can say is very well done on both of these. How did you get that right?
I like the colour of the BG and the comp.

Great action shot. I like the diagonal line the two birds are forming. Great that both have their wings open. Light and colors are great. I would crop a tiny bit at the bottom.

This is a slight crop from top and left. Bothe birds are in the same focal plane.

Pretty much perfect for me. Both birds have good wings positions and good head angles. They are sharp with good details. The background complements the birds very nicely. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Ooops. My eyes/brain were playing a trick on me. I thought they were next to each other.

Either way, a fantastic image. JR

The light is truly magical. Perfect control on the DOF. The formation is beautiful.
