I like the pose and details, Dennis. I'm not sure about the crop, the osprey is a bit too centered. You could try to tone down the legs a bit and fill flash might have helped because the sun was not directly behind you. Please have a look at the posting guidelines. The maximum size is 750 pixels on the longest side and you can post only one image every 24 hours.

Nice dof on this image. I like the wing position. Just too large image.;)

A lot of excellent comments!

I would add that a crop from the top would make this stronger.

Very nice action, great angle, and likable BG. The feet and some of the wing is overexposed though...and as per guideline 18: Images should not exceed 150 kilobytes nor should they exceed 750 pixels on the longest side. Panoramic images may be up to 1024 pixels on the longest side, 450 pixels on the shorter side.

Welcome to BPN Denis! Looking forward to more...

Very nice capture. Is this bird being baited?

Thanks Glen,
No bating; these are wild ospreys.
I spent several days photographing them, especially in the early morning and late afternoon.
They tend to hunt for fish during these times.
Regards,
Denis.

This is a very nice capture. However I think the light is a little too strong but nice details.
