Taken about 6 feet further along the branch from the pair that Simon Bennett posted a week or so ago. When they are in the mood and tree hollows are in short supply then it is possible to have multiple pairs nesting in each tree.

Lovely colors, HAs, eye contact, sharp.

I might tone down the left hand side of the background a bit. It is a very massive perch for these guys, but the location of the second bird tells the story so nicely, I like it. I thought about cropping in just a bit more from the right, but wouldn't want to go past the crotch, for rear the upper branch would look unsupported.

If possible a step to your right might have isolated the birds from the main trunk a bit more, but you did a fine job as is.

Very nice image Rob, I agree with Randy about toning down th BG just a bit. Love the eye contact of both birds and you did a pretty good job with the 2XTC.

Both comps work for me. With the OP, I like how the budgies are framed between the trunk and branch. In Peter's repost, the tighter crop gives them a homely feeling together. The colours look good Rob, and overall, well captured.

Good job Rob. Like the OP very much for the reasons Stu mentioned above. I wish the real bright patches were not in the BG, but perhaps not much could have been done about those. :)

Beautiful image, in india these beauties can be seen only in pet shops. nice to see a free birds image. loved the colours and details. I like peters crop but would give a little more space on the left bottom corner for the imaginary tail.congrats..
