My Tory- captive, of course. I'll be trying my best to capture better, more interesting poses from her.

Excellent portrait, really cool sharpness and detail especially on the beak.
being captive does not change the fact that this is one good looking bird.

This is super Amy! I would love to see one even tighter of the head! Awesome colors and sharpness.

Amy,

This is a beautiful portrait. The crop is a bit awkward for me. I'd like to see the entire head if you have it or go super tight like Akos suggested.

Gosh, every time I see a hawk image I am more convinced they are my favorite kind of bird. Gotta love the intensity of that gaze.

Wow I'm super jealous now. Not only a beautifully rendered portrait but also another hobby I hope to have someday (falconry) . I would of also liked to see a little more of the head. Congrats.

Love the excellent colors, wonderfull light, great exposure, soft BG, detail and species. I would have gone for a wider crop or a tad tighter.
Congratulaitons.

Super portrait captured here Amy, good detail and color. Personally I feel a bit more on the right would have made the comp better...

Thank you all for your kind words and input on the composition. Going tighter is the only option I have on this one.
