Thanks for the comments on my last post!

Here a female Anna's Hummingbird attacks a male Black-chinned Hummingbird trying to get control of the best perch. I've been working on these action photos for some time now, and I'm just starting to get some decent results.

Cool interaction, good sharpness and BG. I only wish the little branch wouldn't block the tip of the wing and would tone down the perch a bit.

I think the background is very nice. I like the interaction of the two birds. My only wish would have been that the bird's wing tip did not intersect with the up-right bit of the perch. Thanks for sharing.

Nice action captured and excellent DOF (you got lucky at only f/9). The birds are placed nicely in the frame. Not sure if you used fill flash, but the image looks a little overflashed. If you did use flash, what was your FEC set at? With regard to the perch, I find it a tad big for these small subjects. And I would try to find one that doesn't have so much white in it.

Nice interaction between the two birds. Pity the small stick covers the sitting bird....it would have framed it nicely if it was a bit farther. Congrats.

I agree that this isn't the best looking perch - a little thick and the blunt endings are not ideal. The interaction, however, is very good - man that bottom bird's neck is pretty drastically twisted!! Beautiful green BG to set them off nicely :-)

More than decent here, great action, agree about the perch, maybe you could get rid on the round dark piece.
Otherwise congrats on a difficult one. Great effort. Keep the coming.

Ditto Axel on this one.

The BG is very nice and interaction too.

Great action shot and very good timing here, nice poses and detail, BG and light, I am not crazy about the two small branches pointing up. Congratulations!
