Couldn't have asked for a better flight angle! Tough exposure on this little guy, you handled it well keeping detail in the whites and blacks and especially the iridescent head, maybe needs a little more contrast. The blue-gray BG is a perfect compliment to this bird. Nice job!

Sweeet! Best Bufflehead I've seen, Dave! I'd consider boosting the contrast a wee bit and brightening up the colors in the head a bit as well.

Excellent techs, the only issue I can see is the HA and it appears to be slightly flying away. Still super good though. I would be tempted to touch up the pink hue on the upper tail.

Great shot! I know how difficult it is to get any kind of a flight shot of these rockets, so I appreciate the effort. I think you captured the colors very well, I wouldn't overdo saturating them more. I might try to up the contrast a bit for the blacks. Either way, great work.

Akos, I think the pink hue you are referring to is one of the bufflehead's toes.:o

It looks great and it is a powerfull flight pose, on my monitor the head and the upper wing don't look as sharp as the lower wing, I agree with Akos about the HA. Still, preety amazing image, these guys are fast!!! Congratulaitons.

Perfect banking angle, and love the detail and colours from the full wingspread. Great capture.

Hi Dave! Hey this shot really shows off the beauty these guys have like none other that I have seen. Where was this taken? You might been sooting at 1000@f8 and been better off for DOF.

Gorgeous pose David! Difficult capture to be sure. I would sharpen a bit more, in particular the head and the tail feather areas, but also the far wing. Congrats on a fine image!

Great flight pose captured, David!
Critical focus appears to be on the right wing tip ...
