Caught this guy coming into the nesting hole and breaking before he hit the tree.
D2H w manual 200/4. f5.6@1/4000 sec, iso 320, EC -1/3.

Good catch, not an easy one. Shame on his head angle, but he needed to look where he's going :) Love the extended talons.
You could desaturate the sky a bit and thanks for sharing, Rick.

Interesting behavior and I like the extended feet, but overall this on does not work for me. Why? The oddly colored blue sky. With the face turned away the head is in shadow. The odd wing position. The partially rasied wings.

Good timing with the shutter release.

The natural moment is nice but I agree with artie that pose and anlge are less than ideal, also light is too harsh IMO.

I like it despite the problems already mentioned by the others. I, too, would try to desaturate the sky a little.

Cool photo to catch him midair and so sharp like this. I think that most of the things mentioned could be corrected, but a good head angle would've made the shot. Well done.
