This is the bird Grace and many others were trying to save Sunday my nephew was able to catch it and it was treated and released on Monday and despite losing a toe it's walking quite well.

There's more info in the General discussion forum.

Say thanks to your nephew! He made it all possible, with some others too! He must be awfully fast:)
Didn't realized we were in Avian, nice shot too. Maybe he'll be back next year, and you'll be able to recognize him by the missing toe.

James, You and your nephew did a fantastic job capturing this little one and getting it the help it needed!!Bravo!! I am so happy to see it walking around, the foot looks so much better.
I like the composition, the HA and the pose.

Good to see the little guy walk without fishing lines. Your nephew should be proud of himself.

I like the angle, look-back pose and soft light in this one.

When Grace told the story, I first thought of you.....you always seem to be "da man" when it comes to birds. You have a fine nephew.....must take after his uncle. Well done...I'm proud of you!!
