Made this image last weekend. I agree that its not an eye level shot but what appeals me here is the eye like perch on top of the hill, where this Shaheen falcon sat and waited for the birds to fly. Even though i could have cropped it to show the bird in bigger size, i kept the frame intentionally this way.

Thanks for watching. C & C are welcome

EXIF: 1/640s at F8.0, ISO 400
shot from Canon 40D with Canon 300mm F2.8 with Canon 2x Tc

That really is quite an amazing rock formation. It fits the subject well.

The eye in the rock is excellent, well done for "seeing" the image, and opportunity well used. I would try and do a bit of CW rotation on the image so that the Falcon is standing on a horizontal.

Wow, is that eye in the rock formed naturally??

Good eyes you have !

Very interesting, two good spots! I am sure it would work better in a larger format.

Hello All,
Thanks for your kind words..I am glad many of you like this :)
Here are my answers:

@ Desmond Chan (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/member.php?u=4498): Yes the rocky formation is natural.
@ Marc Molloy (http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/member.php?u=4729): Yes this is a know place where Long Billed Vultures roost. This guy is a resident Falcon, whom we can see often. But in my one year regular visit to this place, its the first time i saw this guy perched on this spot..

Thanks,
ADi

Love it! Very different and original, great comp and light. I like it a lot. Agree about the CW rotation needed but I am sure that as a large print this works even better.
Congratulations!

Fantastic textures in the wall and very good composition with the falcon placed very close to the lower right corner. The image is very, very artistic and I LIKES it a lot. Big congratulations!
