Exposure on the bird looks very nice IMO, I would suggest to tone down the nice but bright BG. Perch is nice but too bad that it covers part of the bird.

I like the diagonal composition of your subject.
As mentioned by Ramon, the background is a little "hot".

This is a great time to use high speed flash if it is available on your system.
I like to bring the ambient light down and bring the foreground subject back up with flash.

Agree about fill flash, I like the BG colors though, perhaps you could work the blacks in ACR more to the right
and get better result in darkening the image especially the BG.

Great pose and sharpness. Excellent points by Ramon and James regarding controlling bright BGs. In this instance, just bringing down overall image brightness yields a more pleasing image.
