This was taken in my garden. I have set a little feeder set up, and hopefully over time, I will capture some garden birds. This guy doesnt keep still, and is a very busy mover. The BG is my garden bed.

Nice species, nice BG and pose, I would suggest brightening the dark areas in the BG and even a little crop from BG and a TAD from left will improve comp IMO.
Congratulations, nice light, colors and detail, perch is not my favorite to be honest.

I like the angle, sharpness and open beak and find the perch a bit overpowering and if it were mine might remove the dark areas in the upper right.

Like the light, pose, eye contact & open mouth. Ditto Ramon on perch & dark areas in BG.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Here is my repost. I have cleaned up the top half of the bg, but decided to leave the comp. Not much I can do about the perch, as it is a bird bath.

Beautifull species. The eye is fantastic and I like the pose a lot. Th ebird is a bit centered to my taste and I prefer the original post instead of the fact that it is a bit distracting :-)

You sleep in your garden?
I prefer the repost Stu. All has been said other than it could be improved having the full tail visible. Still like it though.

Bro, change that perch NOW! :D That does no justice to the beautiful singer here. I love almost everything about it but the perch. Brutal, I know. Good repost, while I know the little fluff behind the wing is part of it, it really competes for my attention.

I cannot wait to see more images from your garden Stu. Some rippers to come for sure. :) Thanks for sharing.
