Lovely colors, sharp, well exposed.

The eye looks a bit funky, possibly from combination of flash and natural catchlight.

The composition seems a bit crowded, top and right hand side. In a perfect world, I would wish that the leaf wasn't in front of the neck.

All, and all, I wish it were mine.

Thanks for sharing the image, and the help on feeder set up.

Perfect pose and action Alan. Nice bg makes this even better.
Eye looks a bit weird to me.

Really like the moment of action caught here but the interfering leaf distracts me.

Love this and wish it were mine. The leaf doesn't bother me but agree that the eye looks a little funky.

I am a fan of yours, so what can I say, all is a matter of personal taste, I don´t get bother by the leaf, the action is great, this species is one of my favorites because of its colors, in México we call them Siete Colores, you stopped the action at the right moment. In my opinion a little more space on top would help the composition.

Nice comp and BG. The perch was a nice choice as well. Overall another very good image!
I may have to head on down there one of these springs and try my luck.

Great detail and some colors on that bird.
I love the pose too, adds a lot to the image design.
Pland and perch very cool looking too.

super exposure and colours in this one - love the pose at the moment of plucking the fruit. I agree in a perfect world the leaf in front of the neck wouldn't exist :)

an image all can be jealous of! we've only got buntings down here that have more dull-coloured plumages.
