This of course then requires separate Actions for portrait and Landscape orientation<st1></st1>.
I see that CS2 also has File>Automate>Fit Image and this allows you to define constraints for both width and height and so will deal with both portrait and landscape orientation in the one Action which seems like a good idea.<st1></st1><o></o>
However does anyone know what algorithm is employed here? I cannot see any difference in the results between the two methods myself but I’d really like to know what the technical differences are and if there is a reason to prefer one over the other?

John,

Go to Edit > Preferences > General.

Under IMAGE INTERPOLATION at the top of the dialog box, select the method you wish to be the default.

Sorry I did not get to this one sooner.
