Ray:

I love the colors in this one, very relaxed feeling. Good pose, HA, sharpness & exposure. Nice framing by the leaves. I might be tempted to trim back the last little bit of leaf almost touching the head from above.

From a composition standpoint, I like it as is, but might trim in to about the 1st r in your sig line from the right.
THe only other point is that as muted as it is, I find the light spot in the green area to the right of the bird just a bit attention grabbing, and might tone that down a bit more.

Thanks for sharing. Very peaceful.

Randy

Raymond,

Love the even lighting and soft green BG. The image has a very serene feeling to it. Some will say clone out the last 3rd of the twig perch, but it is what it is. Have you tried a vertical crop? Great work!

Neat one you got here Raymond, beautiful looking bird, perch, pose and setting. Just would could out thr leaf above the head and clone out the white patches..

I like the soft light, head angle and sharpness and agree with Randy regarding a slight crop off the right and removing the bright spots in the BG.

Excellent shot Ray, great composition. I think i would get rid of the bright spots in the background aswell.

Good pose, and love the setting. The grouping of leaves at the bottom looks great, and I like the framing created by the top leaves - but I do agree the one leaf reaching out towards the head should go. Eliminating the bright spots would really polish up the BG nicely. I know it is likely caused by all the yellowish/green vegetation surrounding it, but I'm finding a slight colour cast on your subject.

Nice comp, I like the leaves, pose, light, BG and colors, I would've removed the white line and the three white dots in the BG though.
Congratulations.

Good pose, and I like the exposure and sharpness. I agree by taking off the right will improve the comp.

I like how the leaves frame the bird and the pretty BG. Agree on removing the light spots.

Thanks for all the excellent feedback., very cool.

Attached a quick update... I guess the semi pano is my style for many images, but I might try a vertical some time., great ideas !!

Hey Ray, I love the OP but just with a touch of contrast adjustment because the image looks a bit flat in my monitor. I ABSOLUTELY love the simple composition. Well done.
