I love African Grays. I am in fact in the middle of a book by Professor Irene Pepperberg called Alex and me. Sure you know that Alex. :)

They are such wonderful birds. Do you still have Winston? Is he a nutter or is he OK? Cannot be worse than a flamin' Burmese cat. :D

I do remember Alex from PBS. Winston is now living happily with a retired couple who can devote time to this smart bird. On several occasions Hannah would come crying when Winston would tell her , "Go to your room!"
I do miss him. I do not miss the smoke alarm imitation ! Winston has a very wide vocabulary. Very funny listening to him beep, then say, "Please leave a message." Certainly not a bird for everyone though. They demand much attention.
