Stunning first post! Congratulations! Great pose, light, BG, colors and comp. A tighter crop might help for web presentation.
Congratulations!

Beautiful first post, glad you figured it out! Excellent sharpness and colours, and I love the gradiant BG. I agree that a slightly tighter crop would work for web presentation. A better light angle would have prevented the shadows on the neck and wing, but still beautiful as is.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. The comments and Crits are appreciated, ditto the shadow and the crop, many thanks, Ryan

Another South African! Hide your women and children:D !

Nice subtle image Ryan made with that great Canon lens. A better light angle would have improved it though.

Welcome. You will enjoy the ride I am sure.

Excellent image. getting right head angle in such shots is not easy. We dont see many images with 400 f/2.8 here. Were you hand-holding that thing? If so, then you should get some extra pats on the back.

Great moment, amazing BG. lovely shot.
A tighter (not much) crop would work well, I think.

Kaustubh, Gal, Dave thanks for the comments, I agree that the tighter comp would work better for web presentation. Kaustubh I used a tripod for the shot, hand holding that lens is possible but not very easy:)

Super image Ryan! The 2-tone BG makes this image. You gotta love Marievale Backgrounds.

Pranay and Kobus thanks for the comments, Ditto the noise under the wing in the shadow, I should have run a NR filter on this...
