5D, 500mm, 2xTC, ISO320, 1/125, f/9, car as blind. Taken at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve on December 3rd. The hawks always preferred the few man made perches on the entry road to hunt from -- not attractive, but it did place them close to the road!

I think today we have to accept the perches that the birds choose as they are a part of their habitat that we've created. You've captured a beautiful hawk with excellent detail. The background is very complimentary to him as well. I personally like the lighting on him....rather dramatic and really adds to the mood. Well done.

I like the dramatic side lighing on this Hawk. It creates a nice moody feeling to the image. Very nice bg too. Well done!

Hi Christina great to see you here. Wonderful image you posted of the RSH with superb lighting and I especially like the pose and serious look. As mentioned a very dramatique image and beautifully captured !!!
