Nice one, Thomas! I bet Al's going to be jealous of this one! I love the golden color against the cool greens. I also really love the way we can see the tips of the two leaves and then they melt away into the blur...nice!

Compositionally, I think you could trim a little off the top, moving the fly closer to the ULC (maybe half the distance from the wing to the top edge of the frame.)

Beautiful work. I don't think a dung fly ever looked so good!

I really like the diagonal composition and the way the fly's colors work with the colors of the leaf. And as far as their dung-related habits - it's really a very good thing that various insects work to help decompose dung.

Thomas I really like the way the fly's head and front part of its thorax is in focus and the rest of it runs smoothly into the OOF BG.
