Still got some cuteness left in it. Lovely comp and the action/display retains interest. Spot on with the viewpoint.

Denise:

Nice pose, open bill, sharpness and exposure, shooting angle, composition.

Its probably just me, but the green behind the open mouth bothers me a bit. I think it might look better with the sandy background.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice moment captures with the extended wing and love the subtle color of the chick's pink skin against the greys. The image comes across a little flat on my monitor. Great job overall.

Great low angle and pose, nice soft light, detail and comp, BG is a tad bussy but it still works well.
Congratuklations!

I like the raised wings, soft light, angle and sharpness. No wonder they need to warm up once in a while, this image really shows how thin the plumage is. If it were mine, I would lighten the eye a bit.

Great behavior. Love the comp. on this. You left just enough room on the right.

Great angle and wing span, I would warm up the colors a little bit.
I don't like the blur you done on the DOF line (on the sides), sorry.

Lovely low angle Denise, and love the wing stretch together with the open beak. This is sharp, and well exposed too. Well done.

Great pose! If anything I wish the green BG was not directly behind the open bill as it made me think it burped or that green is coming out of the mouth. Not sure if that makes sense. Did you blur the BG? Thanks for sharing

Akos, Thanks, I did blur the BG on a layer mask-I may have gone too far.

I just thought because not everything is visibly sharp along the same plane. See what I mean? I would never have picked, if it weren't for the blurred sand behind the feet in the LLC. Just a thought. :)

Akos, Thanks I did notice that after Gal had mentioned it. I just started to do that-maybe I will re-think it!!
