Very beautiful! What elevation is this? Bandar Abbas is on the Straight, and I notice there are a lot of protected areas around it, is this here? It looks very lush, like there is a lot of rainfall, but not a tree in site. Please tell us a bit more about the details behind this image!

Hi Asad,
Very interesting and unusual. The exposure looks very good and I like the flow of the hill and you also did well minimizing the sky. You did get good seperation in the villiage building but I am wondering if this would have been stronger compositionally if you had gotten closer to the horse and building and used them as a stronger FG element? Perhaps getting a bit closer and maybe even going vertical may have given a stronger FG interest but i do wonder if you would have lost the feel of the villiage?......not sure on that one but a nice presentation of a what appears to be a remote villiage.
PS I did view this with a crop of the sky entirely....try it with the browser.....wonder if people feel that is a stronger presentation.

It is a very interesting scene. I also wondered about about cropping out the sky and roadway. In hindsight, I also wonder if it was possible to move to the right a bit and get more of the village and animals and no sky/roadway. As is, still a very nice photo. Dave

I like it too for the reasons mentioned above. Don't settle for only one vantage point. Move around looking to arrange the elements in the scene to bring them into harmony and eliminate those elements that distract.

I like the look of the soft light due to the overcast.
