This rabbit had a torn ear (perhaps from living in a blackberry thicket?) but a quick visit to the Photoshop hospital :D took care of the problem.

Lens: Leica 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R with 1.4x APO-Extender-R
Support: Shoulder stock & monopod
Location: Sacramento County California
Date: April 2008
Exposure: about 1/125 sec @ f/8 (effective), ISO 400
Light: open sky, sun filtered through background trees (camera in full sun)
Light metering: camera's built-in spot meter, manual mode

Doug,

Like the position of the Hare, the habitat and the mild backlighting and soft BG. I suggest going with the ear as torn. Good sharpness too.

Nice one, Doug. The ears with that backlighting are super. You could emphasize that feature a little more by dimming the
background a bit with a gradient -- and maybe brighten the face just a tad.

Sweet shot Doug. Good ps work. Not entirely sure if was needed, as part of the fabric of life, but do not intend going into "one" on that issue.
