have about 5000 slides that I want to make digital files of. Has anyone had any experience with the Opteka HD2 Slide Copier.. I will be using it on a 40D. Any info about ease of use, quality of copies, etc:, will be appreciated..

Hi Dave Don't have any info on that particular scanner. Did my fair share of scanning starting with a Nikon LS 2000 then the 4000.

Scanning is time consuming for high quality scans. I also have a bunch to be scanned and was unsure to do it myself or send out. Have seven hundred being scanned, will report back on how it goes !!
