one of my first attempts at this type of blur. i think they were japanese maples, but they were growing south of miami and i know that is out of their zone. anyways, thought the colors were nice.

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated.

Very pretty Harold, love the mauves and purples. The blur makes it a nice kaleidascope of colours.:)

Fantastic blur, Harold! Wow...what an array of colors! Love the "motion" look as well - this is a stunner!

Wow, son, you really did good on this one, and you got the colors to show pretty nicely too.

Gorgeous colors and blur. How did you do it?

If there was an award for most abstract, you'd win hands down Harold! :D I mean that in a good way. As I have said in the other "contests", I really look for images that push the envelope, stretch the horizons, whatever cliche you want to use. This does it. It takes the elements of many of the other entries and pushes them out beyond the walls. The colors here are excellent. Nicely done.

thanks for the comments everyone. anita, i did this by moving the camera in a circle. stopped down to get, i think a 1/25s shutter speed. that's about it. i did a lot because not all turn out. this happened to be the first one i did that day and the only keeper out of about 50!!!

Harold: Thanks for the explanation. Very helpful. I learn so much from the descriptions of how photos were taken and processed. I know what you mean about taking lots of shots to get one good one. :-)

Love the pattern and the pastel colors. Beautifully done.

If I had one suggestion I wish the white area left of center was a bit toned down as it immediately draws my eye.

Hey Harold,
I didn't get the chance to play this time......but this one I am really drawn to......so this is the winner!
Congrats on stepping out and nailing it!

I anm still torn by this and a couple of others. Great idea to move the camera around in a circle. Japanese Maples are beautiful.
